As is my habit, I decided to take a trip to explore some of the less known areas of Jiangsu. The place to which I went was Jiangyin, and it is about 40km away from Changzhou.
The place can be accessed in two ways: By bus from several stations or at several erratic bus stops along Tongjiang Road-these are not technical stops so much as places where the bus driver stops or by taxi. I chose not to take the taxi, since it would not be worth it. But I can imagine that the price to get there would be something like RMB if you did it flat fare. The way the trip worked out, boy am I glad that I didn't spend any more than 21RMB getting there and back.
There were two red light districts that I could find. The one is called NanZha and the other doesn't have a name that I could find. What I can tell you is that as you are coming into the city from Changzhou, you'll be headed west. The other district that was accessible was, as mentioned, NanZha; ; However, the problem is that this place had very few taxis that went through it strangely enough, because there were lots of customers walking through the area.
I went through about 4 shops and looked, and I found that the girls who worked in them were a bit long in the tooth. It sure seemed that that area specialized in divorced women. They were a bit old for me, but I did find a chunkier, darker girl that I liked. I asked the boss how much it would be for a short time, and he said "RMB.
